thinkThin is a healthy lifestyle brand, founded by an inspirational female entrepreneur in Southern California. Over the last decade, they have become a major name in the energy bar category, thanks in large part to their delicious recipes and protein-rich nutritional profile. In addition to their products, thinkThin’s clean, elegant design aesthetic drives differentiation and trial at shelf.

In 2014, we developed a great partnership with thinkThin during the strategy, concepting and production phases of our national launch of the brand, so we were excited to work with them to produce the next chapter of the campaign with the launch for thinkThin Bites and thinkThin Oatmeal.

These products play a critical role in their portfolio by expanding the lineup to be appropriate for more potential eating occasions throughout the day than the original bars had done. Oatmeal is obviously a great way to start the day. Bites, because they are smaller than our bars, are a perfect pick-me-up anytime, anywhere.

With thinkThin Bites in particular, while we needed to introduce the new form factor, we also wanted to remain true to their core insights.

There are lots of things to feel guilty about. thinkThin isn’t one of them.

Our team executed the casting, set design and a seamless integration of the product into the story. We rounded out the media buy with digital, mobile and social ad units.

With thinkThin Oatmeal, we produced a national print ad that allowed us to create awareness quickly with the thinkThin target audience, while working with a more conservative budget.

Reaction from consumers and retailers has been overwhelmingly enthusiastic, and the product has seen even better performance than we anticipated.
